Obituary for Dorothy Lynn Morton (Rambo)
A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy Lynn Morton, 62, of Frisco, Texas will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Spears Street, Alvarado, Texas 76009. Pastor Robert Nixon will officiate. Guests are encouraged to join the family for a meal to be served following the service.
A private burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
There is no formal visitation scheduled.
Mrs. Morton passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Frisco. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on September 2, 1955, the daughter of Bill and Nita Rambo.
Mrs. Morton was a teacher, coach and cheerleading sponsor with Alvarado ISD.
She touched the lives of so many students and the impact she had on their lives will go on forever.
She is survived by her sons, Ty Morton and wife, Michelle, of Plano, Texas and Trent Morton and wife, Robyn, of The Colony, Texas; daughter, April Rosier and husband, Greg, of Woodway, Texas; sisters, Donna Taylor of Burleson, Texas, Diane Self and husband, Scotty, of Grandview, Texas and Ashley Rambo of Victoria, Texas; brother, Austin Rambo of Apple Valley, Minnesota; aunt, Dorothy McDaniel of Durant, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; Joy Hove and many other family members and friends.
