Donald Gene Murphy passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Cleburne, Texas. Don was born April 16, 1937 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Hazel (Burnett) and Virgil Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice (Pickera) and their four children, Patrick Murphy, Lisa Horn, Kris Ethington, and Dina Craemer, as well as nine grandchildren and his sister, Sherry Kennedy.
Don was a beloved school teacher for many years sharing his love of art and photography, and helping students with special needs. He loved to fish and camp with his family. He was easy to smile and give love to his family, both human and 4-legged.
