Obituary for Adelina "Lina" Navejar (Rodriguez)

Adelina “Lina” Rodriguez Navejar, 78, of Cleburne, Texas, loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter was peacefully called home Sunday, April 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. with The Rosary at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
On Saturday, June 10, 2017, The Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Mass following at 11 a.m. at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Burial will follow in San Diego Cemetery.
Lina was born in San Diego, Texas on March 15, 1939, To Martin P. Rodriguez and Nieves Saldana Rodriguez. She was the third child of nine children who grew up in a loving home. She was very proud of the fact that she inherited the responsibility of motherly duties for her younger siblings.
Lina attended San Diego public schools and developed a group of lifelong friends.
She married Carlos Navejar and they had one son, Manuel Alfredo Navejar.
Lina was an active member in her pre-teen life with St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego and was extremely active at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas, where her son attended Catholic school.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Martin “Machi” and Manuel “Meme” Rodriquez; sister, Celina Martinez and her husband, George Martinez.
Lina Navejar is survived by her son, Manuel Navejar of Terrell, Texas; her companion, Jesse Medrano of Cleburne; grandchildren, Valerie Snow Navejar, Andrew Martin Navejar and Natalie Soto; sister, Santos Zavala and husband, Gilberto, of Cleburne; brothers Robert Rodriquez of Watsonville, Calif., Domingo Rodriguez and wife, Tilla, of Beeville, Texas, Jessie Rodriguez and wife, Bertha, of San Antonio, Texas and Hector Rodriguez and wife, Velia, also of San Antonio.
The family extends its gratitude to all family members and friends who offered love and support during this time, including the staff of Heritage Trails Nursing Home.
A special thank you is offered to her son, Manuel and her sister, Santos and her husband, Gilberto, for being there for Lina during this time.
