Obituary for Joyce Nell Neely (Wartes)
A memorial service celebrating the life of Joyce Nell Neely, 72, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Shiloh Cowboy Church in Venus, Texas.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mrs. Neely passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 in Mansfield, Texas. She was born in Petersburg, Texas on Sept. 17, 1942, the daughter of Vela (Whitsett) and Carl Wartes.
Joyce married Ronald R. Neely on Oct. 31, 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked in accounts receivable of Auto Craft, Inc. for over 23 years.
Joyce was an avid reader and enjoyed her family and babies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald R. Neely of Alvarado; son, Ronald R. Neely, Jr. and wife, Bobbie, of Arlington, Texas; daughters, Tammie L. Hitchcock and husband, Kenneth, of Denton, Texas, Rhonda Neely-Harms and husband, Gary, of Gardner, Kansas, Willie Jo Treadwell and Pamela S. Butler and boyfriend, Jack Knell, all of Alvarado; brother, Delbert Wartes and wife, Vera, of Post, Texas and Sammy Wartes and wife, Nona, of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Doris Cummings of Lubbock and Connie Mitchell of Spring, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.
