Robert Newton

Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Newton, 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Whitney, Texas. The Rev. Jerry Melson will officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Bob Newton passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at his home. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 8, 1940, the son of Eugene Howard and Nell (McClure) Newton.
He served his country in the United States Army. Bob married Carolyn Zent on July 15, 1960 in Fort Worth and together, they owned and operated Newton Conveyors, Inc. in Cleburne.
He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Bob had a smile for everyone. He was the best of best husbands and provider for his family. He loved his Lord, wife, kids and especially his grandkids. Bob never met a stranger and was a joy to be around.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn Newton; son, David Newton and wife, Kim; daughter, Sherri Fossett and husband, Joe, all of Cleburne; brothers, Gary Newton of Victoria, Texas and Ralph Allen Newton of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Calvin Fossett, Robbie Fossett, and Britney Newton.
