William “Bill” Nix, Sr.
Funeral services for William “Bill” Nix, Sr., 73, of Glen Rose, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home with Bro. David Fuller officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
Bill Nix passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 3, 1938, the son of Nell Ruth (Williams) and Lewis Pratt Nix. Bill retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service; completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science while stationed in New York state. He married Judith Hodges on June 8, 1991 in Lake Buchanan, Texas.
Bill Nix is survived by his wife, Judith H. Nix of Glen Rose; sons, William Keith Nix, Jr., and Kelly Nix and wife, Detania, of Victoria, Texas; daughters, Sandra Neeser and husband, Jonas, of Pocatello, Idaho, Margaret Bailey and husband, Stu, of Richardson, Texas, and Barbara Nix of Marble Falls, Texas; step-sons, Michael Yoakum and wife, Nicole, of Cedar Park, Texas and Gregory Yoakum of Spring, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.
