Keene—Funeral services for Bobbie Jean Northrop, 77, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Tony Torres officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Northrop passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 in Keene. She was born there on July 17, 1934 to Robin (Birdwell) and Perry Canton.
Bobbie married Richard T. Northrop on July 18, 1954 in Keene. She was a member of the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Bobbie was the co-founder and owner of Community Living Concepts, a group home for those with mental health issues.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Richard T. Northrop in February of 2002.
She is survived by her sons, Nelson Edmund Northrop of Keene, Doyle Northrop and wife, Debbie of Goatneck Community, and Lloyd Northrop and wife, Lori, of Keene; daughter, Sharan Boelter and husband, Bill, of Keene; brother, Tom Canton and wife, Rita, of Midland, Texas; sister, Perry Jo Hoeckendorf and husband, Bob, of Hondo, New Mexico; grandchildren, Chloe Northrop, Cara Northrop, Zak Northrop, Blake Northrop, Donny Boelter, and Matt Boelter; and great-granddaughter, Addisyn Northrop.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleburne Adventist Christian School for Worthy Students, 111 Meadowview, Cleburne, TX 76033.
