Graveside services for Bettye Katheryne Hodges Owen, 82, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 in Rest Lawn Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. John Stagner will officiate.
There is no visitation planned.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Kyle Bourland, Nicole Bourland, Ryan Eatherly, Hal Harrison, Hunter Harrison, Laney Haschke, Hogan Harrison, Hayden Haschke, and Keaton Haschke.
Bettye passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Cleburne. She was born Jan. 6, 1930 in Hereford, to Cecil Hodges and Velma Caldwell Hodges. Bettye graduated from Hereford High in 1948 and married the love of her life, Bobby Owen, on April 17, 1949 in Hereford.
She was a homemaker and a loyal Hereford Whiteface fan. Bettye was a member of LaMadre Mia Study Club, Women’s Missionary Union, Hereford Chamber Singers, and charter member of Fellowship of Believers in Hereford.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Owen; sister, Jo Purcell; brother, Keith Hodges; and granddaughter, Jamie Eatherly; and great granddaughter, Bailey Bourland.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Bourland and husband, Aaron, of Lubbock, Texas, Barbara Eatherly and husband, Carey, of Paris, Texas, Brenda Harrison and husband, Scott, of Cleburne, and Beth Haschke and husband, Richie, of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Bourland of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Nicole Bourland of Dallas, Texas, Ryan Eatherly and wife, Whitney, of Paris, Hal Harrison of Cleburne, Hunter and Hogan Harrison, both of College Station, Texas, Laney, Hayden, and Keaton Haschke, all of Arlington, Texas; and great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Payton Bourland of Hot Springs Village.
