Dallas, TX—Funeral services for Guy Daniel “Guybo” Parnell, 42, of Dallas, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne, Texas. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mr. Parnell passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 in Dallas. He was born in Tulsa, Okla. on March 21, 1970, the son of Bonnie (Birchfield) and Guy N. Parnell.
Guybo, as he was known to family and friends, served his country in the United States Navy and served in combat during Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Cleburne’s American Legion Post #50 and was of the Pentecostal faith. Guybo married Stacy Herber on June 8, 2001 in Burleson, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy Parnell of Shattuck, Okla; parents, Bonnie and Guy Neal Parnell of Cleburne; son, Guy Jacob Parnell and step-son, Heath Barton, both of Shattuck; brothers, Neal Paul Parnell and wife, Stephanie, of Cleburne and John Parnell of Temple, Texas; sisters, Linda Wooten and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, Texas, Kathleen Tompkins and husband, Brian, of Cedar Park, Texas, and Michele Homberg of Temple.
