Godley, TX—Funeral services for Estaleen Petty, 93, of Godley, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tony Tawater will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Rudy Rudewick.
Burial will follow in Watts Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Cosby, Earl Cosby, Dylan Richeson, Cody Fears, Ricky Cosby, and Terry Henslee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard D. Cosby, Don Richeson, Matthew Henslee, Luke Fears, Cade Richeson, Brice Sowell, Jake Fears, Caleb Richeson, and Dalton Fears.
Mrs. Petty passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in the Lane Prairie Community in Johnson County, Texas on February 22, 1919 to H. A. Bicknell and Maud Jones Bicknell.
Estaleen married R. L. “Nute” Petty on August 19, 1939. She graduated from Weatherford College in 1969 with an LVN degree and retired from Walls Regional Hospital. Estaleen was a member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. “Nute” Petty; son, Steve Henslee; one grandson in-law, three grandchildren and three sisters.
Estaleen Petty is survived by her daughters, June Eaton of Roanoke, Texas and Kay Richeson of Godley; one brother; four sisters; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
