Services for Mary Fenton (Bicknell) Petty, 97, of Grandview, Texas, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2013 at Sand Flat Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. The Rev. David Hampton and The Rev. Scott Whitson will officiate . The family will receive visitors 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mary passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 in Burleson, Texas. She was born April 20, 1916 in Cleburne, Texas to Maud Florence (Jones) and Hiriam Austin Bicknell. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Petty; sons, Robert Petty and James (Bick) Petty; grandchild, Randy Petty; and sisters, Ophelia Carmean, Faye Trussell, Estalean Petty, Jimmie Jones, and Evelyn Stout.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. Clifton-Becker of Burleson; brother, H.A. Bicknell of Burleson; sisters, Billie Smith of Grandview and Edith Jones of Joshua; grandchildren, Roy Sanders, Jimmy Sanders, Jamie Petty, Dorinda Callahan, Chelly Rosser, and Beth Petty; ten great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
