Vladimir Pikulin, 83, of Cleburne, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service will be held in Amarillo, Texas at a later date.
Mr. Pikulin was born in Yugoslavia on January 1, 1929 to Marina (Vesnina) and Peter Pikulin.
He married Nadezda Novicki on November 6, 1950 in Trieste, Italy. Mr. Pikulin moved his family to Amarillo, where he was a plant engineer with the copper refinery, Asarco. He retired with over 30 years of service. Mr. Pikulin was a member of the St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church of Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Nadezda (Novicki) Pikulin.
Mr. Pikulin is survived by his sons, Peter Pikulin and wife, Janis, of Kent, Washington and Edward Pikulin of Amarillo; daughter, Becky Bennett and husband, John, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Danni and Casey Pikulin, Michelle Ferguson, Nikki Byford and husband, Charley, and Kaitlin Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Pikulin’s name through Community Bank of Cleburne. These donations will be used for the completion of soccer fields at Santa Fe Elementary.
