Steve Pollard
Steve Pollard, 61, of Alvarado, TX, passed away Friday, Sept 30. 2016 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Annetta Cemetery in Annetta, TX. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at Rosser’s.
Steve was born on Dec. 15, 1954 in Fort Worth, TX to Finis and Sarah Pollard. He graduated from Alvarado High School in 1973, then continued his education eventually starting his own heating and A/C business in 1977. He met the love of his life and best friend, Nancy Flowers, in 1971. They became husband and wife on April 6, 1979. Steve was a man of many interest and hobbies over the years, including Rodeo Club during high school. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Alvarado Fire Department. He enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles, was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved watching the weekly games.
He loved working in his yard and adored his grandsons.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pollard; daughter, Stephanie Pollard; son, Joseph Pollard and wife Karen; grandchildren, Sam and Luke; sister, Jana Henshaw and husband, Ken; Niece, Emily Pedigo and husband, Joe; great-niece, Lauren; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
