Funeral services for Pastor Allan Priest, 86, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sep. 9, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Keene Cemetery. Pastor John Taylor will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 8, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Allan passed away at his home in Joshua on Saturday, Sep. 5, 2015.
He was born August 16, 1929 in Globe, Arizona to Clara Delphine (Bolton) and Edgar Allen Priest. He was a retired Seventh-Day-Adventist Pastor. He married Jean Priest on May 8, 1948 in Oak Cliff, TX.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Myra Wooldridge.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Priest; son, Larry Priest and wife Edith of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughters Lorraine Lewis and husband Eddie of Joshua, and Lynette Ecord and husband Tim of Joshua; brothers, Norman Priest of Superior, Montana, and Douglas Brumley of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Edra VanDoren of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Nelda Priest and husband David of Mesquite, Texas; sister-in-law, Rhelma Gleeson of Frisco, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
