Martin Rains

Masonic graveside rites for Martin “Slim” Rains, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at Greenacres Memorial Park in Cleburne. There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Rains passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born in Mt. View, Okla. on June 2, 1926, the son of Harvey and Josie Rains. Mr. Rains proudly served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from Brown and Root in 1983 after 35 years of service.
“Slim” as he was known by family and friends was a master Mason for 40 years and was a member of Cleburne Masonic Lodge #315.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jean (Kolb) Rains.
Slim Rains is survived by his daughter, Diane Wilcox and husband, Bill, of Burleson, Texas; grandson, Daniel Buenger and wife, Caroline, of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Kristi Lehane and husband, Sean, of Houston, Texas; and great-grandsons, Mason and Landon.
