Obituary for
Mildred Ramsey (Perkins)
Mildred Perkins Ramsey was born on Dec. 20, 1920, in Elmo, Texas, to Lula (Rider) and Sybol Perkins. She met and eventually married Jack E. Ramsey on Jun. 29, 1946 in Cleburne, Texas.
Jack was an engineer for Phillips Petroleum so they traveled extensively and lived in England, Norway and Venezuela.
Mildred was very intelligent, quick witted, and sometimes sassy. She was very compassionate to others and loved animals. Mildred never had children of her own but was very close to her two nieces and two nephews.
Her faith was very strong and she loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that she is resting and waiting for the Lord to take us home.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Lula and Sybol Perkins; Charles B. Smith; her siblings, Opal Hagood, Vada Kenneth, and Ruth Foster; one of her nieces, Barbara Alred; and cousin, Elder Robert Rider.
She is survived by her niece, Jacqueline Janes and husband, Dale, of Cleburne; nephews, Jason Leigh and wife, Paulette, of Lacombe, Louisiana and Charles Brown and wife, Donna, of Burleson, Texas; five great nieces and nephews; and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.
