Obituary for
John E. Reeves
Funeral services for John E. Reeves, 67, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Mike Mizell officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Flat Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Jones, Gary Maples, James Putty, Booker Williams, Charles Davis, Michael Bigelow, Larry Miller and John Moser.
Mr. Reeves passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Burleson, Texas on Dec. 7, 1947, the son of Ethel (Tanner) and John Henry Reeves. John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. He married Brenda Barton on April 29, 1968 in Cleburne.
John was a machinist with Santa Fe Rail Road for over 20 years before retiring from Union Pacific. He was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Nanny and PawPaw Barton.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Reeves of Cleburne; sons, John Darrell Reeves and wife, Jamie of Grandview, Texas, John Derek Reeves and wife, Brandy, of Cleburne and Lance Waller and wife, D’Anna, of Fort Worth; daughter, Tesa Roye and husband, Roger, of Cleburne; brother, Billy; sisters, Wanda and Katherine; Poppy’s girls: Miranda, Tana, Hanna, Jetta, Jobie; and Dylan and Drake.
