Cathy M. Reynolds

A memorial service celebrating the life of Cathy M. Reynolds, 60, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.
Cathleen Marie Reynolds 60, of Keene, Texas passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 at UT Southwestern Dallas, surrounded by her loving daughter, family, friends, and the wonderful staff.
Cathy was born October 16, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to Betty (Gill) & Richard Reynolds.
Cathy suffered from Alpha1 and was a 5 1/2 year double lung transplant survivor. The family would like to thank the UT Southwestern Transplant team that worked so hard to extend her life.
Cathy loved life and her number one joy was her daughter Ashley. She had many friends and brought so much happiness to everyone that knew her. She loved to cross stitch to keep busy and many people have pieces of her work hanging in their homes. She loved to fish and be on the lake. Most recently, she was brought comfort and joy with her rescue companion, Lilly.
Cathy worked at several different employers during her life including Xerox, Motorola, and her most recent CONEXIS before becoming too ill to work. She made many lifelong friends out of her coworkers.
All though her union with Ashley’s dad, Mike didn’t continue, they always stayed close and Mike was always there for her and for that she was grateful.
She has chosen to have her remains cremated and given to Ashley. Some of Cathy’s remains will join her mother’s at her beloved Higgins Lake in Michigan.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Marie Backus and her fiancé Justin Robinson; lifelong friends and siblings, Rick (Pat) Reynolds of Lansing Michigan, Debbie (Jeff) Griffith of San Antonio, Texas, Mick (Linda) Reynolds, of Lyons, Michigan, and Jack (Lisa) Reynolds of Boca Raton, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved.
