Marita Richardson

Marita Richardson, affectionately known to many as "Meme", age 93, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. October 25, 2016, at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas with visitation Monday evening, October 24, 2016, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Marita was born in Fort Worth, Texas, January 24, 1923, to Maude and Garvin Whitehead. She moved with her family to Lamesa, Texas where she grew up and married Mark Richardson. After moving back to the Cleburne area, she had four children, Warren, Gayland, Ronda and Twila.
Marita worked in real estate, owning her own company, Richardson Real Estate for many years. She was extremely talented enjoying painting, carving, sewing and needlework. She was actively involved in The Nolan River Chippers and the Fort Worth Decorative Painter organizations.
Marita is survived by her two sisters, Jerrine Seery and Sudie Tackett; both of her daughters, Ronda Dillard and Twila Tawater; grandchildren Liesl Hoover, Melissa Mingst, James Cromwell, Ryan Dillard, Katy and Dayna Reed; great-grandchildren Taylor, Adam, Katy and Landon Hoover and Selah Joy Cromwell; along with many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Richardson, sons Warren and Gayland Richardson and brother Dauphin Whitehead.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Samaritan's Purse or Smile Train, the organization which surgically repairs cleft lip and cleft palate.
