Robert Wayne Bischoff

Robert Wayne Bischoff was born to Joe and Esther Bischoff on July 25, 1941 in Madison, TN. He passed away on June 9, 2024, peacefully in Texarkana, Texas. Robert was a devoted husband, father, Poppy and friend. His warm heart and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many.

He spent the majority of his young life in Keene, Texas, along with his two sisters Barbara and Juanita. While attending college in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Union College, he met the love of his life, Vernelda Johnson. They were married on July 6, 1965. After moving back to Keene they were blessed with two children, Traci Rochelle and Robert Scott.

Robert spent the majority of his life working at the family business, Keene Pharmaceuticals. He was very active in Keene politics and always felt that civic duty and involvement was of primary concern. He was very active in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church and he spent many hours volunteering at ADRA and community service projects. He was generous to a fault. He loved people and he was always roaming the streets of Keene looking for projects or lawns that may need mowing.

Robert is survived by two children, son Robert Bischoff and daughter Traci and husband Kiff Barker, two grandchildren Colton and Landon Barker, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and John Koobs along with nieces and nephews and many loving cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Esther Bischoff and his loving wife Vernelda Bischoff, and sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Garland Ballew. He will be missed by all of his loved ones.

A memorial service to celebrate Robertʼs life will be held at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
