Vernell Roe

Graveside services for Vernell Roe, 82, of Grandview, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Rosehill Cemetery with the Rev. Weldon Coble officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roe passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at her home in Grandview. She was born in Roaring Springs, Texas on Jan. 12, 1931, the daughter of Annie (Thacker) Garrett and Willie Garrett. She was a candy maker and a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Cleburne. Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy F. Roe; daughters, Beverly Jan Roe Raney and Carolyn Manasco; brothers, Guyten and Wayne Garrett; and sister, Louise Neighbors.
Mrs. Roe is survived by her grandsons, Justin Gilliland of Snyder, Texas, Jeremy Gilliland and wife, Joy and Garrett Gilliland and wife, Selina, all of Grandview; five great grandchildren, Zack, Nate, Jeremy, Kolten, and Nikki; brothers, Melton and Kirksey Garrett; and sisters, LaJuana Ryan and Anita Starnes.
