Graveside services for Lonez M. Rose, 90, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at Rosehill Cemetery with Chaplain Jerry Becker officiating.
Lonez will lie in state on Sunday, April 29, 2018 until 2 p.m.
Lonez passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Keene, Texas. She was born in Jones County, Mississippi on December 15, 1927, to Buddy and Lillian (Easterling) Murphy.
Lonez and Jack C. Rose were married on November 8, 1947 in Laurel, Mississippi.
She was a public school teacher’s aide and substitute in Mississippi and in Cleburne. Lonez was a great wife, mother and Granny. She loved to cook and sew and watching her grandchildren grow up.
Lonez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, David Rose and wife, Kelly and daughter, Barbara Briscoe and husband, Danny, all of Cleburne; sisters, Edith West of Petal, Mississippi and Linda Ward and husband, Ricky of Oak Grove, Mississippi; grandchildren, Aimee Rose Brooks and husband, Tim, Garrett Rose, Marie Hicks and husband, Thomas, and Ben Briscoe and wife, Michelle; great grandchildren, Jordon Moyle, Austin and Ashlynn Briscoe, and Tyler and Hunter Brooks; great-great grandchild, Preslee Jones; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
