On Saturday, January 5, 2019, Ouida Ruth Rose, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at the age of 74 due to natural causes.
Ouida was born on September 3, 1944, in San Marcos, Texas to Wally and Ouida (Avrea) Hoyle. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, graduating South Oak Cliff High School in 1963.
She married the following year to her sweetheart Lannia K. Rose, they were together 45 years until his death.
Ouida worked in the dentistry and transportation field many years acquiring everlasting friendships along the way. She enjoyed volunteering at church and later working with abandoned animals through a rescue effort. Her hobbies included tending to the horses, church league softball, golf, waterskiing and of course cooking with a glass of wine nearby. Ouida’s passion was caring for others; she simply loved life, her family, and never met a stranger in her eyes.
She is survived by her partner David Splawn; brother Wally Hoyle and wife, Heidi; her son Kenneth Rose and wife, Melanie; grandchildren, Savannah Rose and Blythe Savera; great grandchildren, Jackson and Carter Savera; aunt Dotti Hollock; sisters-in-law, Anita Kinne and Sue Rose; and eleven nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Lannia, she was predeceased by her parents, Wally (Bubba) and Ouida.
Please join the family in a memorial service of her life Saturday morning January 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosser Funeral Home 1664 W. Henderson St. Cleburne, Texas 76033.
Following the service, we will meet at Taqueria Mexicano Grill at 1840 N. Main St. Cleburne, Texas 76033 for food, drinks, and fellowship.
