Graveside services for Roy Jack “Papa” Sanders, 78, of Cleburne, TX will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Baker-Lain Cemetery in Johnson County, TX. Pastor Wade Yarbro will officiate.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Roy Jack “Papa” Sanders passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born February 19, 1941 in Alvarado to Annie Lizza (Kirkland) and Claude Emerson Sanders. He married Faye Lorraine Krokum on September 30, 1965 in Rendon.
Mr. Sanders was a retired foreman for a tree service company and attended Chisholm Trail Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil, Chip, and Hershall Glenn Sanders and sisters, Patsy Tuley, June Rice and Helen Sanders.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Faye Sanders; daughters, Lori Kaye Tucker and husband Mark, Jackie Faye Quattlebaum and husband Joey, and Misty Ann Bullard and husband Chad; sons, Roy Jack Sanders Jr. and wife Frances, Jimmy Lee Sanders, Tommy Steve Sanders and wife Sheri and Scottie Roy Sanders and husband Scotty Sisk; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Raymond “Lightning” Sanders; sister, Kathleen Flores and husband Daniel; and a host of other relatives and friends.
