Sandra Jean Smith

Sandra Jean Smith, 81, of Grandview, Texas passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Sandra was born in Cleburne, Texas on August 28, 1942, to Dorothy Lucille (Fisher) and J. P. Smalley.    She married Jay “Smitty” Smith on December 14, 1963 in Mesa, Arizona.   

Sandra worked at Texas Midland Telephone Company in Grandview for many years.  After receiving her nursing degree, Sandra worked at Huguley Hospital and Town Hall Estates of Hillsboro, before retiring from Grandview Nursing Home.

Sandra loved to paint and enjoyed crafting.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grandview

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Smitty Smith; son, Shawn Smith and wife, Kim; daughter, Shelley Pruitt and husband, Keith, all of Grandview; brother, J. P. Smalley, Jr. and wife, Katie, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Zach Brody and Kaylie Smith, Chanci Latson, and Jhett Pruitt; two great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
