Services for Billy C. Schick, 91, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at the Ascension Lutheran Church. Pastor Joe Ardy and Pastor Ben Rathgeber will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenacres. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Billy passed away on Nov. 15, 2015 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born May 15, 1924 in Breckenridge, Texas to Lena Dean (Putnam) and H.G. Schick. Billy served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Lockheed Industries where he worked in quality control. After retiring from Lockheed, he opened the first Putt-Putt Golf Course in Cleburne along with the snow cone stand. Billy owned a real estate company and Sun Catchers of Texas. He was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church.
He married Margaret Baker on Jan. 27, 1961 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 2013.
Billy is survived by his son, Steve Schick and wife, Mary, of Cleburne, Billy Schick, Jr. and wife, Rita, of Grand Prairie; grandsons, Brandon and Jeffrey Schick; granddaughter, Felicia Phipps; and great-granddaughter, Paisley Blayne Vicencio.
