Kenneth Courtenay Seaman, age 82, of Keene, Texas, passed away February 26, 2020 at Texas Health Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth.
Ken was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as a deacon and elder. He spent a long career working as a caretaker and facilities manager for a number of Adventist campuses including the Adventist Retirement Home in Livingston, NY, Cedar Lake Academy in Edmore, MI, and Emory Adventist Hospital in Smyrna, GA. Ken enjoyed socializing with friends and family, singing, gardening, building, tinkering, and inventing solutions to problems.
Son of the late Arthur and Thelma Seaman of Manorville, NY, Ken was married for 57 years to the late Jo Ann Holberg Seaman who passed away in Douglasville, GA in 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Rima Nepangue Seaman of Keene TX, two sons, Michael of Columbia, SC and John of Franklin, NC, two sisters, Janice Moffatt of New Bern, NC and Joyce Hettrick of Merritt Island, Florida, six grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, step-nieces and step-nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor James Winegardner at the Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church, 115 S. Fairview St. at 4 pm on Sunday, March 1. A light dinner will be served following the service. A second memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Harold Peggau at the Douglasville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2838 Bright Star Road in Douglasville, GA on Saturday, March 7 at 3 pm.
