Sheila Marie Standlee (Sexsmith/Bobo), 72, passed away on February 12, 2024, in Joshua, Texas.
Born on March 29, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Sheila was known for her adventurous spirit and her creative talents which flourished in her love for jewelry making, woodworking, and the restoration of old homes and furniture. She has worn many hats, homemaker, mother and entrepreneur, when opening her own business for a time.
Sheila's memory will be cherished by her first love, Foster Bobo; her daughter, Tisha Seger (Clyde); and her son of love, Scott Fox (Lyuba). Her legacy continues through her brothers, Gary Whitley (Lety), Michael Sexsmith, James Sexsmith, and Scott Sexsmith; her sisters, Teresa Friske, Laura Morris, and Tammy Shannon; her treasured grandchildren, Mackenzie Sture and Jesse Fox. Great Grandchild Lucy Sture; as well as 7 nieces and 12 nephews. She also leaves behind many great nieces/nephews, Sister-in-laws, Brother-in-laws, cousins, and many wonderful friends. She loved all her family dearly. Preceding her in death were her mother, Frankie Lee Whitley; stepfather, Tommy Whitley; father, James Sexsmith; stepmother, Beverly Sexsmith. And her loving husband, Ross Standlee.
Though there are no official memorial services scheduled, there will be a family gathering in Vera, TX, on March 29th, 2024.
In honoring Sheila's life, her family encourages all who knew her to reflect on the joy and beauty she brought into the world through her creative passions and her warm, generous spirit.
