Charles Shelby

Funeral service for Charles Elliott Shelby, Sr., 90, of Arlington, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cleburne. Bishop Adam Bond will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the beginning of the service.
Mr. Shelby passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Arlington. He was born in Du Quoin, Illinois on February 3, 1927, the son of Elizabeth Jane (Mart) and George Alex Shelby.
Mr. Shelby was career military, serving his country in the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Shelby was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia Mae Shelby; and one son, Charles E. Shelby, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Edward Shelby and wife, Cindy, of Mansfield, Texas; grandchildren, Simone, Nathan, Carri and Justin Shelby; great-grandchildren, Nicole Shelby, Brandon Laliberte, Natalie Shelby, Sierra Shelby, Reese Laliberte, Summer Shelby, Kason Shelby and Owen Laliberte.
