Betty Sharon Sims (Whitehead)
Services for Betty Sharon Sims, 69, of Godley, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August, 22, 2015 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Whitehead, Sr., Terry Willingham, Steven Whitehead, Randy Whitehead, James McGehee IV, and Clay Applegate.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sims passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Cleburne, Texas on December 20, 1945, the daughter of Eludy Beatrice (James) and Ernest Cecil Whitehead.
Betty married James Earl Sims on September 8, 1961 in Godley. She was a member of the Godley Assembly of God Church. Betty worked for many years at Walls Industries before retiring from the maintenance department of the Godley ISD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Earl Sims; one sister and two brothers.
Betty Sims was survived by her sons Phillip Sims and wife, Tammy, of Cleburne, Scotty Sims and wife, Dena, of Granbury, Texas and Michael Sims and wife, Jennifer, of Godley; daughter, Phillis Henson and husband, Fuzzy, of Avery, Texas; sister, Annett McGehee and husband, Acy, of Godley; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
“Her kitchen was always open and sewing needle always threaded. You may have entered her house a stranger but always left as a friend. We will miss you Moma.”
