Obituary for Leo Howard "Bubba or LH" Smith (Wilmoth)

Graveside services for Leo Howard Smith, known as “Bubba” to some and “L.H.” to others, 72, of Eastland, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Tom Beaty will officiate.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Smith passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Ranger, Texas. He was born in Torrance Calif. on May 16, 1942, the son of Iva Lorraine (Wilmoth) Smith and Leo Thomas Smith.
Leo was a 1960 graduate of Cleburne High School and worked at the Cleburne Coca-Cola Bottling Company in his younger years. He attended Arlington State University and North Texas State University. Leo also served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the old Main Street Methodist Church in Cleburne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ben and Margaret Wilmoth and Thomas Hezrith and Nettie Casteria Rea Smith; first cousins, John Huffer, Jerry Sue Ingram and David Deming.
Leo is survived by his brother, Benny C. Smith and his nephew, Jacob Robert Smith, both of Eastland. His surviving first cousins are Monty Wilmoth of Dallas, Texas, Evalain Wilmoth Lovett of Bedford, Texas, Candace Wilmoth Brigman of Joshua, Texas, Pam Wilmoth Ledbetter of Joshua, Texas, Dwight Eggert of Angelton, Texas and Waynette Eggert Caso of Angleton, Texas. Surviving cousins are Myra Jaynes, Steve Walker, Aleta Lane and Dawn Hovis, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Russell Deming of South Carolina, Donna Wakefield and Debbie Allen, both of Grand Junction, Colo., Rebecca Huffer Burpo of Dallas, William C. “Sonny” Huffer of Keene, Texas, Robert E. Huffer of Arizona, Jeffery L. Huffer and James J. Huffer, both of Midlothian, Texas, Sam Mobly of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Lynn Mobly Nelson of Conroe, Texas.
