George A. Sowell
Funeral service for George A. Sowell, 75, of Cleburne, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Granbury Street Church of Christ. The family will have a private burial before the service at Rosehill Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home.
George passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in Cleburne, Texas on September 14, 1938 to Jennie Lee (Fuston) and George Albert Sowell.
George married Meredith Dove on April 13, 1963 in Mabelvale, Ark. He was an active member of the Granbury St. Church of Christ for over 50 years. George also served as a bible class teacher, deacon, and elder.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
George is survived by his wife, Meredith Sowell; sons, Lawrence Sowell and wife, Vickie, and Lynn Sowell; Daughter, Lora Frasier and husband, Glenn; grandsons, Logan Frasier and Jason Sowell; and sister, Myra Northcutt and husband, Burt.
