Barbara Jo Stack (King)
It is with great sadness that Barbara Jo (King) Stack passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017, in Ft. Worth, TX at the age of 77 after battling a long illness. She was born to Lena Mae and John Curtis King, Sr. in Cleburne, TX on July 30, 1940.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Don, her sister Jeanette Cornett (Donnie) and brother John King, Jr. (Shirl) her daughters Sheri Skidmore (Kenneth), Teri Hughes, and her son Johnny Hodge (Valerie). “Maw Maw” also leaves behind her grandchildren Amber Lanphere (Tim), Erich Skidmore, Scott Hughes (Hannah), Whitney Hodge, Hailey Maliska (Ryan) and Blair Nobile (Bradley) and great grandchildren Paisley and Kenny D Lanphere and Bella Rose Nobile, nieces and nephews Chad Cornett, Kelly King Moore, David King, Kristie King and Courtney Chambers and numerous great nieces and nephews
Barbara also known as Barbara Jo, Aunt Barbara and Aunt Jody will also be forever remembered by her extended family and dear friends. Barbara unselfishly devoted countless hours driving with Don to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren in dance recitals, drill team, basketball, soccer, baseball and football games. Barbara was involved in the lives of countless friends and family always coming to the rescue of anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on. She was such a strong woman and would not hesitate to tell like it was in other words, she was bossy. She fought a hard battle to live and never lost her dignity or spirit. Her husband Don was by her side every day until she passed as well as her immediate family who never wanted her to feel alone.
A visitation for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rosser Funeral Home, 1664 West Henderson St., Cleburne, TX 76033 with the Funeral Service at Rosser at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7. Interment will follow in the family plot at Derden Cemetery, Rio Vista, TX. The Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be sent in memory of Barbara Stack to a charitable organization of your choice.
