Funeral services for Laila Stowell, 70, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church. Officiating will be Pastors Jeff Coleman, Isaac Heath, Bob Stauffer, and Terry St. Clair.
The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stowell passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at her home. She was born in Hackensack, Minn. on April 14, 1942, the daughter of Rhoda Christine (Anderson) and Kustaa Adolph Engelbert Lehto.
Laila married Darril Stowell on May 30, 1959 in Brainerd, Minn.
Mrs. Stowell was a secretary for the Railroad and was a member of the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Orville Lehto.
Laila Stowell is survived by her husband, Darril Stowell of Cleburne; sons, Craig Stowell and wife, Barbara, of Worchester, Massachusetts, Richard Stowell and wife, Leilani, of Keene, Texas, and Rodney Stowell and wife, Sarah, of Burleson, Texas; daughter, Carol Gaban and husband, Elvin, of Arlington, Texas; brother, Vernon Lehto and wife, Betty, of West Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Muriel Sharp and husband, John, of Beemer, Nebraska and Charlotte Conway and husband, Bob, of Laurel, Maryland; and 15 grandchildren.
