Obituary for Edith Ophelia Sutton (Shockley)
Funeral services for Edith Ophelia Sutton, 92, of Crowley, Texas will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Worth Baptist Church, 4900 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas.
Mrs. Sutton passed away December 4, 2016 in Crowley. She was born December 28, 1923, in Antelope, Texas, the daughter of Columbia Marie (Carminati) and Luther Owen Shockley
Edith received her nurses training at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She served her country in the United States Navy.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sutton; daughter, Sharon Marie; and son, Gerald Lee.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Darlene Carrington and Georgeanne Bush; son, Michael Lynn Peterson; grandchildren, Syrena, Linda, Tabitha, Jessica and Joseph; and great grandchildren, Sierra, Chaz, Bereket, Paxton and Robert.
