Obituary for Merle E. Thacker (Stinson)
Graveside services for Merle Thacker, 97, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014 at Eden Cemetery in Douglass, Texas, near Nacogdoches, Texas. Pastor Jim Hoehn will officiate.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mrs. Thacker passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 in Keene. She was born in Douglass, on Sept. 29, 1917, the daughter of Katie (Barker) and John Stinson.
Mrs. Thacker was a member of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy A. Thacker; and son, Charles Allen Thacker.
Mrs. Thacker is survived by her daughter, Beverly Ullrich and husband Jerry, of Keene; grandchildren, Jeffrey Ullrich and Cheri Grossman; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooke and Aubrey Grossman.
