Funeral services for Theresa Yvonne (Grace) Carter, 89, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel.

There is no visitation scheduled.

Theresa passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Cleburne.

Born July 17, 1935, in Denton, Texas to Manton Joe and Georgia Grace, Theresa was the oldest of three children and the first grandchild. Theresa was doted on by all her aunts and uncles.

Theresa married Bobby Lee Carter on February 20, 1953, and they celebrated 67 years of marriage. Bob continued to dote on Theresa all her life. They enjoyed an adventurous life with frequent travels to Mexico, New Mexico, and the Texas Coast. Bob and Theresa created a life they loved together and had two wonderful daughters. In 2004 they moved to Cleburne to be closer to their family.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry and David Grace; husband, Bob; daughters, Janet Rose and Ann Kirkpatrick; and grandsons, Bo Kirkpatrick and Casey Rose.

She is survived by sister, Rita Meyers; son-in-law, Mike Kirkpatrick; grandsons, Trey Kirkpatrick and wife Hope, Bucky Kirkpatrick and wife, Lisa; granddaughter-in-law, Hilary Kirkpatrick, Wade Womble and Patrick Rose; great grandchildren, Blayne Curnel, Mackenzie Schmidt, Alyson Phillips, Hayden Kirkpatrick, Rafe Kirkpatrick, Luke Kirkpatrick, Camden Kirkpatrick, Kamree Kirkpatrick, Brady Rose, Brett Womble, and Marrisa Womble; six great-great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
