Judy Ann Thornton (Carruth)
Funeral services for Judy Ann Thornton, 71, of Granbury, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, prior to the service.
Judy Ann Carruth Thornton passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born September 19, 1950 in Andrews, Texas to Edith (Clem) and Otis Carruth.
Judy was an accomplished business woman and school teacher. She owned Stockton Office Business Equipment and Supplies, with offices in Fort Stockton, Texas, Monahans, and Midland, Texas. She retired and began teaching in Midland and then became a Special Education teacher at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Otis Carruth and Edith Clem Carruth.
Survivors include her beloved husband, James Thornton of Granbury; son, Michael Thornton of Cleburne; daughter, Elisa Williams and husband, Richard and their children, Nathan Savannah, Jacob and Caroline, of Prosper; and many extended family and friends.
