Graveside services for Dorothy Janiel Tidwell, 86, of Godley, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Godley Cemetery. Pete Pennington and Brian Thompson will officiate.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Herring, Dan Alan Baker, Chris Sebits, Glen Tidwell, Clifton Tidwell, Brian Tidwell, David Turner, Patrick Mitchell, George Tidwell, Tyler Tidwell, Brazos Tidwell, Nolan Tidwell and Bubba Thompson.
Mrs. Tidwell passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Fort Worth on November 18, 1932, the daughter of Eda May (Nelson) and Solomon Washington Wagner. Dorothy married Walter Lee Tidwell on November 8, 1951 in Weatherford.
Mrs. Tidwell was a member of the Ladies Aux. of V.F.W. 8911.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; daughter, Debbie Pennington; and sisters, Mary Lou Gilman and Vern Terrell.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her sons, Travis Tidwell and wife, Tracy, of Glen Rose, Texas, Ronald Tidwell and wife, Donna, Bull Tidwell and George Tidwell and wife, Cindy, all of Godley, and Jason Tidwell and wife, Kristen, of Blum, Texas; daughters, Sissy Baker and husband, Dan of Crowley, Texas, Rhonda Lamb and husband, Larry, of Grandview, Texas, and Carla Mae Turner of Godley; brother, Guy Wagner of Hamilton, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
