Joshua, TX—Funeral services for Elizabeth A. “Liz” Tidwell, 65, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Liz Tidwell passed away from complications of liver disease and diabetes on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at her home. She was born in Corsicana, Texas on October 17, 1947 to Garviss and Joyce Gardner.
Liz was raised near Bynum, Texas by her grandparents, Ellis and Lenora Horn.
She was a member of Ruth Chapter 20 of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joshua. Liz loved life and her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Don Ivy; brother, Billy Carl Brown; step-father, Leland Brown; grandfather, Ellis Horn and grandmother, Lenora Williamson.
Liz is survived by her husband, Robby Tidwell of Joshua; mother, Joyce Brown of Hillsboro, Texas; sister, Judy Banik and husband, Johnny, of Axtel, Texas; daughter, Shirley Collins and husband, Rodney, of Joshua, son, Ben Ivy and wife, Crystal, of Parker, Texas; daughter, Robin Lanmon and husband, Robert, of Valley Mills, Texas and son, Jason Tidwell and wife, Kelly, of Joshua; grandson, Joseph Collins of Blum, Texas; granddaughters, Ashley Noble and husband, Ethan, of Joshua and Callie Ivy of Parker; great-grandson, Peyton Noble and great-granddaughters, Brylee Noble and Gracelyn Collins.
