Obituary for Marilyn R. "Mitzi" Tjaden (Miller)

Funeral services for Marilyn “Mitzi” Tjaden, 85, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Bob Stauffer officiating; assisted by Pastors Isaac Heath and Dennis Austin.
Burial will follow at Sand Flat Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Stowell, Richard Stowell, Doug Chriswell, Kevin Bramblett, Kevin Weidman and Ken Roberts.
Mrs. Tjaden passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born in Cudahy, Wisc. on Nov. 21, 1929, the daughter of Margaret Maude (VonTrott) and Fredrick Henry Miller.
Mitzi, as she is known by family and friends, married Roy Tjaden on April 3, 1948.
She became a Christian about 1956, and took her children to church regularly. Mitzi served on numerous church boards, committees and ministries such as prison ministries, bible studies, and the church newsletter. She loved to crochet and spent the last several years raising grand kitties.
Mitzi was sister to Robert, Betty, twin brother Charles, and Donald, all of whom preceded her in death. Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Tjaden of Cleburne; daughter, Linda Tasker and husband, Alan, of Philippi, W. Virginia; sons, Gary Tjaden and wife, Joy, of Fall River Mills, Calif., Michael “Mike” Tjaden and wife, Kathy, of Forest City, Iowa and Mark Tjaden of Cleburne and ; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
