Todd was born on March 11, 1968, in Hereford, Texas to Arnold and Willeene King. He passed away on December 1, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas with his family at his side.
Following his parents from Hereford to Silverton, Dalhart, and Gainesville, the family moved to Colorado, and on to Fairfax, Virginia. It was in Virginia that Todd became a dedicated Boy Scout learning to love his country, nature, animals, and the outdoors. The King Family moved back to Texas where Todd graduated from Southwest High School in 1986. He began rodeoing in high school and his passion for that sport followed him throughout his life.
Todd joined the U.S. Navy in 1991 and served as a certified anti-submarine warfare technician which took him all over the world during Desert Storm.
Todd graduated from Sul Ross State University in 1994 with a Bachelor's in Animal Science. While doing his college work, he was taken in by a local rancher who treated him like a son and taught him things about honor, livestock, and ranching. He soon developed a lifelong attachment to that industry and lifestyle.
Todd was preceded in death by Maternal grandparents John and Laura Lee Rackley, Paternal grandparents Glen and Maxine King, and infant daughter Kelsey Morgan King.
