Funeral services for Travis Blane Friermood of Cleburne, Texas will be held at11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista with Pastor Ronnie Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery with Drennon Durham, Preston Kelly, Jacob hand, Tripp Davis, Zane El Jabsheh, Zac El Zabsheh, Jared Junge, and Layton Watson. Honorary pallbearer will be Zach Hestilow.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Travis Blane Friermood, 25, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Travis was born in Cleburne, Texas on February 28, 1997, the son of Brad and Heather (Simpson) Friermood.  Travis attended Rio Vista Elementary, Middle and High School.  Travis graduated from Rio Vista High School in 2015.  He went on to further his education at Hill College in Cleburne to become a diesel mechanic.  Travis’ deep love for music began at an early age and he began learning to sing and play the guitar at the young age of 11.  His love and musical talent continued to grow stronger as he got older and he gained numerous friends and acquaintances through performing and singing.  Travis had a genuine, special heart and a love for everyone.  He had an extraordinary way of lighting up a room with his smile and a warm comforting presence about him no matter where he was. Travis loved everyone and knew no other way.   

Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Buckaloo; great grandparents, Ann Bragg, Martha Friermood, Birch and Clara Evelyn Wilfong, and George Buckaloo; uncles, Jim Bob Simpson and Byron Simpson; cousin, Joshua Beau Simpson

Travis is survived by his parents, Brad and Heather Friermood of Rio Vista, TX; brother, Kane Friermood of Rio Vista, TX; grandparents, Dan and Kaye Taylor of Rio Vista, TX, Jo Buckaloo of Rio Vista, TX, Jim and Jane Friermood of Huntington, Indiana;  Kristin Wheeler and husband, Cris, of Rio Vista, TX, Kari Holifield  and husband, Michael, of Fort Worth, TX, Jo Rogers of Granbury, TX, Paula Vidaurri and husband, Mike, of White Settlement, TX, Brian Simpson and wife, Christine, of Grandview, TX,  Cassy Snetzer of The Colony, TX, Jeanna Hartman and husband, Kelly, of Shawnee, OK, Jamie Buckaloo of Las Vegas, Nevada; many cousins and relatives and numerous friends that loved him dearly.
