Thelma Shirlene "TJ" Tribble (Jones)
Norman, Okla. – Country gospel singer, Thelma “T.J” Tribble, 72, of Norman, Okla. passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Norman. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dominic Valero officiating. Burial will follow in Caddo Cemetery near Joshua, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Hines, Bob Gilliland, Chris Maxwell, Bob Baze, Joe Don Stanley and Horton Stanley.
“T.J.” Tribble was born in Quinton, Okla. on February 7, 1941, the daughter of Mary Ann (Carney) and Wilburn Jones. Mrs. Tribble was retired from Goodwill Industries and was a member of Open Heart Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Delbert Jones and Kenneth Weaver; and grandson, Kutcha Harjo.
Mrs. Tribble is survived by her husband, David Tribble of Cleburne, Texas; son, Stanley Bussey and wife, Ginger, of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Tina Weaver, Delma Harjo and husband, Sandy, all of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Sheryle Spear and husband, Mike, of McAlister, Okla.; sisters, Mary Lynn, Janet Ann Robertson, Joyce Olsen and Janie Berry; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
