A memorial service for Truman Leroy Foy, 95, of Burleson, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 13500 Oak Grove Rd South, Burleson, TX 76028.
Truman will be buried in Squaw Creek Cemetery near Glen Rose, Texas.
He passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Burleson, Texas.
Truman was born in Abilene, Texas on January 27, 1929, the son of Elma (McHorse) and Truman Frank Foy.
Truman married Victoria Fox in 1967. After her death, he married Barbara Ann Cupp.
A career soldier, he served his country in the United States Army Special Forces and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor and heroism, along with many other medals.
A true cowboy at heart, Truman took part in roundups into his nineties. He loved to work with leather and gifted many of his original creations to friends and family.
Truman was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Burleson, Texas. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be sadly missed. His was a life well lived.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Victoria Foy; siblings, John Richard Foy, Frank Mike Foy, Donald Pierce Foy, Jean Foy Miller, and Dorothy Mae Lassiter; stepsons, Jerry Fox, Terry Fox, Ronnie Glenn Lewis, and Jeffrey D. Cupp.
Truman is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Foy; brothers, Pat Raymond Foy and Carl Britt Foy; stepdaughter, Nana Fox Parr; and stepson, Billy Lewis.
