Velda Maupin

Graveside services for Velda Rosser Maupin, 85, of Granbury, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Prices Chapel Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.

Velda passed away, Monday, May 8, 2023 in Keene, Texas and was born in Cleburne, Texas on February 17, 1938, the daughter of Georgie Cassie (Jones) and Seby Harris Rosser. 

She married Richard Eugene Maupin in Athens, Texas on October 12, 1994.

Velda attended UTA and was a manager of Cloth World. She was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, Bart Alan Hale; sisters, Lorena Rosser Hudzietz and Thelma Rosser McClure; and brothers, James, Melvin, and Gene Rosser.

Velda is survived by her son, Ben Wayland Hale and wife, Laurie; granddaughter, Brittney and husband, Jesse; granddaughter, Lauren; and granddaughter, Brenna and husband, Travis; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jay, Alayna, Ethan, Livia, Ben, Aurelia, Everly, and Thea; and many other family members and friends.
