Virgil Medina

Graveside services for Virgil V. Medina, of Keene, Texas will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2025, in the Keene Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 22, 2025 in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mr. Medina passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. 

Virgilio Vigilia Medina was born on June 25, 1941 to Marcelino Medina,Sr. & Porferia Vigilia Medina in Camiling,Tarlac, Philippines. He was the youngest of the children. At the age of 27, his older brother, Dr. Marcelino Medina, Jr. brought him to the United States & encouraged him to attend school & become an x-ray technician. At this time, he changed his name to Virgil. He was excellent at his job and the doctors would tel him how pleased they were when he was on duty. 

He married Marianne Pflug on June 27, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. They married two days after his 30th birthday. They had two daughters; Reneé and Michelle. The family moved to Keene, Texas in 1979. 

Virgil is preceded in death by both parents, his brother, Marcelino Jr., and sister Evelyn. 

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; daughters, Reneé (Sonny) Tyler and Michelle (Ace) Eclar; and four grandchildren; Steven, Ashlyn, Arianna and Cadence; as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
