George Wallace

Graveside services for George A. Wallace, 70, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Rosser Funeral Home.
George was born on January 1, 1946 in Cleburne to Lester and Lucille Wallace. He grew up in Cleburne and graduated from Cleburne High School in 1964. He joined the Army in 1965 and served in Korea. When he returned home, George attended the University of Texas in Arlington and graduated with a business degree in 1975. In 1977, he married Lynda Lee Ward. They had two children, Leslee and John. George went on to have a successful career as a boat mechanic. He worked most recently for Fun 'n' Sun, before his retirement in 2012. George enjoyed basketball, golf, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be missed.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Ruel Lester and Minnie Lucille Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Lee Wallace; daughter, Leslee Watkins and husband, Brian; son, John Wallace and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Alyssa, Jason, and Samantha; brother, Ron Wallace and wife, Carol, and their children.
