Blum, TX—Funeral services for James Charles White, 83, of Blum, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Duane Daugherty will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Larry Schneider.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas.
The family will receive visitors from 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Kerbow, Chad White, Craig Purcell, Mike Knox, Van McElroy and John Kennedy.
Mr. White passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Ellis County on Oct. 26, 1929, the son of Ida Erline (McElroy) and James H. White.
In the 50’s, Charles co-founded White and Lasater Trucking and Star Routes Bulk Mail Center. He was always a hands on person and enjoyed his business and valued his many employees. He loved the land and in his retirement years, he spent his time farming and ranching.
Charles loved traveling; hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Stephen Charles White.
Charles White is survived by his wife, Dorothy White of Blum; son, Mark White and wife, Cheri, of Cleburne, Texas; daughter, Lou Ann Kerbow and husband, Gary, of Southlake, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan Kerbow and wife, Brandy, Kerri Purcell and husband, Craig, Sara White, and Chad White; great grandchildren, Addison and Sydney Kerbow and Harris and Clayton Purcell; brothers, Alvah White and wife, Louise, of Irving and David White and wife, Barbara, of Southlake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mission Hospice and Home Instead for their exceptional care.
