Funeral services for John Joseph White, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 with Father Sergio Rizo officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Rosser Funeral Home on Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. with The Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.
Mr. White passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at his home in Cleburne. He was born in Boston, Mass. on July 31, 1923, the son of Pauline (Wolters) and John J. White.
John served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He married May Rose Meaux in Galveston, Texas on January 14, 1944. He was a retired electrician with the Santa Fe Railroad and was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Valzania, Pauline O’Brien, and Eilene Comeau; and brother, Richard White.
John White is survived by his wife, May R. White of Cleburne; sons, Jerry White of Cleburne and Richard White and wife, Sherrie, of Burleson; grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Robin, and Erin; great grandchildren, Jade, Sophie and Patrick; sisters, Mary Williams of Braintree, Mass and Sister Margaret White of Wellesley, Mass; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
